Society for Historical Archaeology
 
Finds Research Group AD 700-1700
A small group specialising in archaeological finds in the period 700-1700. The group issues Finds Data Sheets, No 28, is on English Stemmed Drinking Glasses 1642-1702. 
Ceramics and Glass Section UKIC
The Ceramics and Glass (C&G;) section of the United Kingdom Institute for Conservation caters for those with an interest in this branch of conservation, whether professionals or amateurs. They hold regular meetings, usually in SE England and UKIC publishes a regular journal "Conservation News" which contains a C&G section. 
The Merchant's House
The Merchant's House (Marlborough) Trust is working to restore a seventeenth-century merchant's house in Marlborough High Street and hopes to use this to establish a museum of 17th Century town life. Association for the History of Glass
The Association for the History of Glass is the British Committee of l'Association International pour l'Histoire du Verre. The AHG produces a publication "Glass News" approximately twice a year, and runs conferences on all aspects of glass history.

The Glass Association has a membership of over 600 and caters for a very wide range of glass interests. It arranges both a national (UK) and regional programmes (South East, South West, Midlands, North East and North West) and publishes three kinds of regular publications: a Journal (annual), Glass Cone (two per year) and a quarterly Newsletter.  
Society for Post Medieval Archaeology
Formed over 25 years ago as a focus for those interested in the archaeology of the post-medieval period. Membership fees range from £8 to £24 per year, depending on category. For this members get "Post Medieval Archaeology", the society's international journal which covers a wide range of subjects, including: ceramics, glass, metalwork, fortifications, vernacular architecture, landscape studies and industrial archaeology. They also receive two newsletters and reduced-rates for the two conferences held each year.
